Maschinen Fabrik (India) Pvt. Ltd. was born in 1991 with the aim to provide unique, tailor-made, German engineering solutions implementing world-class and industry-leading technology. As one of the leading conveyor systems and equipment manufacturers in India for unit goods and bulk materials, it has collaborated with several German, British and American companies that command expertise in their respective fields.
The company was founded by Dr. Smaran Choudhury [B.E. (Hons.), MIE, Ph.D.] as a family business, who continues to oversee its day-to-day operations.

Activities
The company’s primary activities include design, dimensioning, development, engineering, manufacturing, testing, supply, erection, commissioning and after-sales services, such as plant operator training and maintenance. Electrical controls, instrumentations, field automation, remote monitoring from customers’ Digital Control System / SCADA is provided.
MFI works as business partners to several foreign companies undertaking projects in the Indian subcontinent as well as South East Asia for custom manufacturing, installation and commissioning of material handling systems. The company owns its own R&D and Training Centre as well as manufacturing facilities. Full scale conveyability tests and plant operator training programs are conducted to familiarize the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of conveying systems and electrical controls.
